DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Rural Parliament brings together people from rural communities with decision-makers\, for three days of celebration and exploration. Participants examine a wide-range of issues affecting rural communities and make recommendations for change. Anyone who lives or works in rural Scotland\, or who makes decisions which affect rural Scotland\, can attend the Scottish Rural Parliament. It is free for people from community organisations to attend. We aim to ensure that each region of Scotland is well represented and that there is a good mix of people with different backgrounds and interests.

DESCRIPTION:Now in its seventh year\, World Extreme Medical Conference (#WEM18) is due to take place in Edinburgh\, having previously been held at the Royal Society of Medicine in London and Harvard Medical School. The #WEM18 conference is an exciting multi-disciplinary platform for doctors and medical minds alike to share experiences\, best practice\, promote cross-disciplinary working and generate new research. \nOver three days\, the World Extreme Medicine Conference will serve as a springboard for inspiring approaches and new thinking to medical practices.
